Review of Goosebumps (2015) by Elton G — 03 May 2017
The film starts with a basic premise. There are some good laughs, but it drags a little. Once the monsters escape and chaos starts, the movie shifts into second gear. It has pretty good CGI and very good acting, as well as some good prosthetic work in a zombie scene. It has a completely fine script and a somewhat muddled plot. But an on-point ending and sleek directing make this a good adaption of the many, many novels.
Grade: B+.
