Review of Goon: Last of the Enforcers (2017) by Eric F — 02 Jan 2018
Glatt is flat. I really wanted to like this one, in fact I wanted to love it, but Goon: Last of the Enforcers, while not terrible, just wasn't a sequel worthy of its predecessor. The only saving grace here is Liev Schreiber who returns with a vengeance to reprise his role as aging enforcer Ross Rhea, but it still isn't enough.
The writing and direction (thank you Jay Baruchel) are too weak to match the ferocity of protagonist Doug Glatt and the sport he loves so deeply.
