It's funny, although as far as movies go, it's not a favourite... but it was entertaining while it lasted. The story circles around the classic "American" view of ice hockey as nothing but football on ice.
It's supposed to be a comedy, but the dramatic parts are the only ones that garner attention! Overall, it was an interesting film that does a very accurate portrayal of team dynamics in amateur hockey (especially highlighting enforcers); but it's still nowhere even remotely close to being a great hockey film like "Miracle" or "Maurice Richard/The Rocket".
