Review of Goon (2012) by Debanjan C — 14 Jun 2013

You begin watching Goon thinking that what you're going to get a well made hockey movie. But while the hockey aspect to it was good and entertaining, I think it was the events that happened off the ice that really helped this one stand out.

This movie could have easily been just another sport movie, but it wasn't because of the characters and story kept it from sinking too low. It had its moments of cliche, but the consistent laughs and good acting transcended that.

I was pleasantly surprised by Goon and now have Sean William Scott on my radar.
