Review of Goon (2012) by John L — 16 Oct 2012

This movie was surprisingly awesome. As with all the best sports movies, it's not really about sports. It's a backdrop for the characters and their story. It also had comedic moments that really took me by surprise how funny they were.

Sean William Scott plays a very convincing tough guy. I also like the character trait that he doesn't like fighting, he just does it because he's good at it. And Liev Schreiber as the veteran badass, holy s*** amazing.

The film goes everywhere you want it to and the destinations pay off.
