Review of Goon (2012) by P M — 27 Jun 2013
A well-developed heir to Slap Shot, with Seann William Scott attempting to rise above the stereotypical ice hockey enforcer (and his acting history, especially the American Pie films, I would imagine).
He succeeds, as does the rest of the film, in making what could be just another clone of the 1977 classic and a myriad others into an enjoyable 90 minute experience for even those who do not understand the need for fighting in hockey.
