Review of Goon (2012) by Jake M — 04 Aug 2014
Never heard of this movie until I saw it on Netflix. Seann William Scott drew me in to giving it a chance and it turned out to be a really good movie. Basically Scott is a bouncer trying to find his calling in life and ends up getting a shot on a minor league hockey team after beating up a hockey player going after his friend.
He can't really play but his role is to intimidate or beat up any opposing hockey players that mess with his teammates. If you don't know hockey they used to have players that only role was to intimidate and fight.
Anyways it has its comedic moments, but also a tinge of drama that makes it the best you've never heard of it movie for 2012.
