Review of Goodnight Mommy (2015) by Clara B — 31 Oct 2015
Devilishly creepy, really-well acted, and makes the whole trying to repair- a-broken family idea that much scarier.
Two twin brothers are excited when their mother comes home from an accident and has undergone some surgery.
However, she starts to exhibit some strange behavior and mannerisms making them both question to whether or not that its actually their mother.
Things go down a dark spiral of torture, harsh punishment, and intense interrogation to figure out the truth.
Sure it's a bit slow and there's no music but it slowly racks up the tension to a distressing final act.
A lot of psychological angst and bloody results from this low-budget family thriller.
