Goodfellas plays out like Scarface crossed with The Godfather, plus a little gratuitous humor from Joe Pesci's character. The final half-hour or so isn't perfect, but it doesn't bring the movie's overall score down much--- This isn't just a gangster classic, it's a classic classic.
