Review of GoodFellas (1990) by President P — 15 Apr 2013
Tremendous acting, writing, story, and directing make GoodFellas in the top ten for greatest of all time. Scorsese is brilliant, but here he goes above and beyond to chronicle the real-life story of the infamous Henry Hill.
Simply, everything is right, GoodFellas is a true cinematic experience to watch. Watching Ray Liotta and Christopher Serrone progress as Hill is amazing to watch. The remaining cast, with special mentions to De Niro and Pesci, is perfect, the writing and story add so much depth, and the atmosphere is incredible.
GoodFellas is well deserving of being in the ranks of The Godfather and Citizen Kane; it's simply that brilliant. Scorsese best film of all time is a masterpiece that must be seen.
