Review of GoodFellas (1990) by Zephaniah H — 10 Dec 2013
The epitome of modern gangster film noir, Goodfellas follows true events of Henry Hill, the story taken from the novel "Wise Guys". As expected, every other word is a curse in this film and few scenes go by without violence, distasteful for a crowd that is uninterested in these themes but for the majority, or at least audiences that can tolerate the amount of profanity (though should have been expected), a sharp and straight up mob lore of the Luchesse family that will definitely grab interest of audiences that are fascinated with the criminal underworld is an instant classic and Scorsese at his finest.
