Goodfellas is a classic, plain and simple. It has a top-notch cast with names such as DeNiro, Liotta and Pesci that knock it out of the park as a bunch of ruthless gangsters. The film is violence-heavy and sometimes hard to watch.
It offers a glimpse of what the gangster life would have looked like in the era, as gruesome and unholy as it may have been.
