Review of Goodbye Solo (2009) by Mario R — 20 Sep 2009
Hugely touching and satisying character study about an aging man with suicidal tendancies and the 34 year old taxi driver who sees something worth saving. An unlikely and slightly one sided friendship is formed.
I thought Souleyman Sy Savane was excellent and can see big things in the future for him. Red West lets body language do most of the acting but it's very effective and I would certainly reccomend this film to those people that understand that sometimes work is required of the viewer to truly get all of the worth out of a piece of art like this.
Beautiful.
