Review of Goodbye Solo (2009) by William W — 16 Jan 2010
A quiet, touching, neo-neorealist slice-of-life about the brief, unusual friendship between a Sengalese cab driver and an elderly, white Southern passenger who is apparently suicidal. Be forewarned, this is not the set-up for sentimental Hollywood tripe.
Great performances.
