Newcomer Souleymane Sy Savane is excellent as the charasmatic cab driver. Red West plays his opposite in the lonely,sad and beat down old man who's hell bent on his destructive path. They form a friendship that is very real without any of the typical hollywood cliches.
This movie is very stripped down, it has that sharp sense of realism. This is one of the best reviewed films of 2009 and although I think it's very good (mainly due to Savane's peformance).. I also have to say I think it's highly overrated.
8/10 from me.
