Review of Goodbye, Mr. Chips (1939) by C.k. C — 03 Aug 2007
Beautifully realized sentimental drama of a shy awkward school master who comes into his own late in life. Robert Donat is beautifully understated in the title role. Greer Garson's radiant performance made her a star.
Only the heartless could get through this without shedding a tear.
