Review of Goodbye, Mr. Chips (1939) by Mark W — 14 Mar 2008
They say schooldays are the best days of your life - they would have been if Robert Donat had been your teacher. The film uses flashback (and amazing make up for the time) to help the story along as does Donats co star Greer who plays the feisty young woman who helps Mr Chips overcome his shyness to become the man he is at the end of the movie.
You may laugh, you may cry, and you will definitely love this movie.
