Review of Goodbye, Mr. Chips (1939) by K D — 05 Jul 2008
What a charming movie, full of characters you can't help but fall in love with. I love any film that seems to span the decades and follow a character and what a story and 'life' for Mr. Chips.
Terrific performance by Robert Donat, and it isn't so surprising that he won an oscar for it. Greer Garson was angelic in her short but powerful presence in the film. I certainly hope to find "the one" like her.
Very nice film, and it got my eyes watery a few times.
