Review of Goodbye CP (1972) by Ieda M — 21 Sep 2009
This stark, pessimistic-realistic documentary of the cerebral palsy minority were hard to sit through. No makeups to draw in compassion, no cover-up for prejudices. These wretched humans were shown in harsh light with all their cards turned--the taboos of sex, of procreation, of hate towards others, were all addressed.
No hope, no sympathy (or are there?). Sayonara CP will make any healthy audience guilty just by watching. Connotation is self-served, actionism self-decided.
