Review of Good Will Hunting (1997) by David F — 04 Apr 2013
A feel good movie about a young janitor-savant who attracts the attention of a Math professor and his former college roommate psychologist who try to help him transcend his life as a street brawling low life and reach his full potential.
Some of the dialogue is really sharp and at times amusingly intellectual, particularly for the kind of love story that it is, I feel it really challenges the audience. And some of the personal drama Will Hunting goes through as his sarcastic front is broken down by the two adults and an ambitious Harvard student played by Minnie Driver is also well-played, emotionally fruitful, and somewhat moving.
How do I like them apples? Well enough, though not too well.
