Review of Good Will Hunting (1997) by Sukhitha J — 17 May 2013
A movie done right. Little surprised to see Matt Damon and Ben Assfleck are the writers. But they have done a wonderful job. I wanted it to go a lot longer, coz I feel that the end comes abruptly. How come Will suddenly breaks, with that little scene, which I think a great scene in its own. Great acting by everyone, except Assfleck. The story isn't that remarkable, but the way its done really takes the cake. Thats what's good filmmaking is all about.
You know what I realized watching this one. How humor is overrated these days in movies. Whenever a new blockbuster movie comes out, the creators think it is absolutely necessary to add in some humor, when it is not really needed. This is what's primarily wrong with Iron Man 3. It worked well for Avengers, you have to pick the right mix for it. Well not so relevant with this movie, but some food for thought.
