Review of Good Time (2017) by Ilja S — 25 Feb 2018
Pattinson has crafted quite a career after starring in the terrible Twilight films and Good Time is another step in the right direction. Aligning himself with Safdie Brothers has proven to be a recipe made in heaven, the indie film is one of the best films of 2017 and extremely unpredictable.
The storyline spirals out of control as Pattinson attempts to save his brother from prison and we move from one uncomfortable moment to the next. The film has this atmosphere surrounding it that keeps you glued to the screen, you want the characters to succeed but with each escalating beat, you just know this won't end well.
This is a great film and showcases some up and coming filmmaking talent. I had heard great things and it didn't disappoint. Great character development and strong filmmaking. 24/02/2017.
