Review of Good Night (2008) by Caity R — 22 Feb 2008

It's no where near as bad as everyone is making it out to be, trust me. Martin Freeman is brilliant (as always) as is the rest of the, perfectly casted, cast (though of all of them, Simon Pegg steals every scene he is in).

Gary and Dora's relationship feels very real, and shows how neither of them are completely innocent in the decay of their relationship as well as when Gary has his first dream about Anna it helps the audience to see why he would wish to continue them.

The story is a bit contrived but still well written and engaging enough. I was shocked towards the end but they slapped on a predictable final scene (the last shot is completely unnecessary). But overall, I'd say it is definitely worth a look.
