Review of Good Night (2008) by Esra'a A — 11 Jun 2008
A film that - whichever way you slice it - just doesn't work... suffers from a modish nostalgia for Britpop; from the vagaries of an international co-production that requires two credited directors, New York locations to be recreated at least in part in the UK and British actors to assume American accents; and a more general sense we wouldn't need to be watching this if a couple of stars hadn't got their mates to sign onto a project that wouldn't be backed any other way.
