Review of Good Night (2008) by Richard F — 06 Jul 2008
A unique, understated and enjoyable movie with an interesting concept, which could easily have been taken further than it was.
The cast was great and it was intriguing to see Cruz in another movie about lucid dreaming (see Vanilla Sky).
There were some great cameos too: Stephen Graham, Michael Gambon, Jarvis Cocker!
The movie also features some well written dialogue and a great score courtesy - mainly - of excerpts from 'The Universal' by Blur.
In years to come this may become a cult movie, but then again; it may just fade away into obscurity. Personally, I feel conficted about which of these outcomes I think it deserves.
