Review of Good Morning, Vietnam (1987) by Sol H — 25 Aug 2008

Light-hearted at times, but still a drama, this movie shows how controversial and bureaucratic the war actually was. between what people knew and thought they knew we learn that no one really knew anything except what they were supposed to.

this was an exceptional movie because robin williams played a character so like himself, making his performance beyond believable. reminiscent to 'hawkeye' in the korean war, cronauer questions authority and tests the limits of war, learning more than he bargained for in the end.
