Review of Good Morning, Vietnam (1987) by Benjamin S — 30 Nov 2014
Probably about the only Vietnam movie I dig, with the exception of Apocalypse Now maybe.
I can't understand American humor though, I'm sorry Robin but I hardly understood what he was chattering about, let alone I laughed. I found the humorous sergeant funny, especially when he couldn't take it that Cronauer was so funny.
The plot was kept simple and that was also a strength in the movie.
Very good soundtrack of course. An Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe win I'm not surprised! Robin Williams was improvising during the entire movie. He deserves an award for that.
