Review of Good Kill (2015) by Peter F — 01 Sep 2015
The concept of exploring the mental and moralistic quandaries of drone warfare is certainly a provocative concept, but Good Kill goes a fairly pedestrian route with its material. The film is familiar for anyone who has seen a movie about a tortured soldier, and for all it's tension and build-up, the film ends on a bit of an anti-climatic note.
Also, this isn't one of Ethan Hawke's best performances. There's certainly good drama here, and invigorated film making, but Good Kill falls a bit short of its full potential.
