Review of Good Kill (2015) by Jonathan S — 03 Aug 2015
A watered-down 'American Sniper' for those who need a little more intellectual handholding. The makers' attempt to make a profound political and ethical statement assumes that its audience would be shocked to know that U.
S.drones sometimes hit 'civilian' targets, or would find it revelatory to hear that such attacks are used to perpetuate a profligate self-interested war for financial gain. Shock horror. Ethan Hawke is too good an actor to continue to make such lightweight fare, 'Boyhood' being the one stand out in years of mediocrity.
