Review of Good Hair (2009) by Kojo C — 31 Jul 2010
Prior to watching I already knew where weave hair came from and, having had my hair first chemically treated when I was 9 yrs old, I'm familiar with the 'creamy crack' addiction. But what I didn't know was that so few hair products are owned by black companies.
This surprised me, and then didn't surprise me, and then annoyed me (which surprised me). Back to the film: informative, entertaining and uncomfortable (mostly due to the Bonner Bros show). I wish they'd investigated what the temples do with the money they get from selling hair.
