Review of Good Hair (2009) by John M — 28 Mar 2010
Fun and informative, circling around all kinds of issues with some big names but never failing to entertain and enlighten in equal measures. There are some Michael-Moore-ish street theater pieces, but it's amazing how effective these can be without a thick layer of smug attached.
We go to India to see the production end, we go to the relaxer factory to see the process end, and we go to the Bronner Brothers competition to see the absurdly ultimate level of competition of the hair artists who allow so much money to change hands.
