It was very interesting, and I think it was pretty well done, considering the many different audience it was catering to. I came from the perspective of knowing little to nothing about relaxer and weaves and the history/current affairs of the black hair industry. Black women who have grown up surrounded by it might feel like starting from zero would be too basic. I think it hovered somewhere in the middle and had a little something for everyone.
The hair styling competition wasn't something I was particularly interested in, and I would have liked to see more about women who choose to go natural with their hair.
