Review of Good Hair (2009) by Alexander Z — 03 Mar 2012
For people asking why the film doesn't explore why black women feel an overwhelming pressure to straighten their hair, it's because white people make up 80% of the population of the United States, and most of them don't have thick or curly hair.
The majority always guides cultural norms because they have the most representation. Do you really need that shit spelled out for you? Jesus Christ.
