Review of Good for Nothing (2012) by John L — 23 Jan 2019
A different kind of story, but then not all western stories were the same. I thought well acted between the main two characters even with the limited dialog. The body language, facial expressions and plain reactionary decisions were a lot to unpack.
I found it very believable that a Wild West villain that was out on his own fending for himself lawlessly would start off with her the way he did, yet with the prevalent drinking problem had an erectile issue, totally makes sense to me.
Finding her beauty and softness too much to not fall for is not hard to see me doing myself. While I see her having compassion for him and then finding endearing qualities in him, it is much more believable for me for the movie to end the way it did, with her being practical, than if she did some crazy thing like think that in the long run looking past his homicidal tendencies and the fact he kidnapped and attempted to rape her would work out for her and all would be happy ever after! Yuck! I give it four stars.
