I'm not normally a fan of German films, and German comedies are well... blah. But this film is refreshing, especially as contemporary comedies do not often move beyond stupid bickering couples or physical hijinx.
The film is a good balance of satire and heart, representing a fascinating period in human and political, as well as cultural history.
