Review of Good Bye, Lenin! (2003) by Greco W — 09 Jun 2008
A touching story about our right to manipulate other people's concption of reallity for their own good. In same way there's a parallel to The Matrrix (Note the T-shirt of Alex's friend), people living in an simulated reality for keeping them away from knowing want they won't want to know. Should the mother know the thruth even if it kills her or should it be hided from her for her own good?
The performances are great as well as the narrative. And it's not all heavy drama there's a lot of humor in between.
"Is Coca-Cola a socialist drink?".
