Review of Good Bye, Lenin! (2003) by Prathaban M — 22 Mar 2009
Yet another great European movie set on the life is beautiful kind of premises. Not many directors can create such an abusrd situation out of a profound historical event and use it to convey such a humourous and intellgient story which is essentially about family and love.
If you are someone logically inclined, this movie may not impress you too much, but once you start looking beyond the illogicalities, this is a truly beautiful and happy movie. And it is partly a decent documentary about life in communist East Germany too.
