Review of Good Bye, Lenin! (2003) by Sylvia Q — 29 Nov 2009
A lighter story about Germany after the fall of Berlin Wall. It is hilariously poignant and heart-warming, all in the name of filial piety. I simply enjoy the faux reporting that reverses all the odd events favouring the socialist government.
It reminds me of "Life is Beautiful", but it seems to make a lot more sense than the latter - it is just unimaginable to me how deaths and atrocities could be treated as part of a game.
