Review of Good Bye, Lenin! (2003) by Nilufer R — 18 May 2010
Literally amazing! I suspect you might not be quite as bowled over as me if you're not into Germany, but this is honestly a masterpiece. It's quirky and heart-warming and has a racy narrative - a bit of a German Amelie.
Already one of my favourite films. I can't praise it highly enough. I especially like how subtly the relationship between Alex and the nurse comes about. I've said it before and I'll say it again - Daniel Brühl: what a God.
