Review of Good Bye, Lenin! (2003) by Jin Z — 09 Aug 2010
This is my new favorite movie! I've been wanted to watch it for a long time, for two reasons. First, Yann Tiersen composed the music scores, and second, the title is quite enticing. For some reason, however, I thought it would be a pretty heavy movie (because of the title?), and that's why I didn't watch it until now.
But it turned out to be so funny, heart-warming, and captivating. The characters are all so lovable, and their lives so beautiful against the black and white history of a nation's rise and fall, separation and reunion.
