You may have a hard time finding it in your area, but it is worth the watch if you can, particularly for fans of Thompson's work. I even learned a few things along the way. Some of the best portions of the movie document his campaign for Sherrif of Aspen and his quieter moments at home.
It is a shame that he was unable to seperate the real Hunter from the "Gonzo" Hunter, but overall I see him as an inspiration for a life lived without barriers. He may come off as a jerk at times, but he is always a loveable jerk.
The film does an excellent job of showing boths sides.
