Review of Gonzo: The Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson (2008) by Marcella — 28 Aug 2008
The ending idolizes Thompson even through his death, even though he became a self-destructive, drug crazed adulterer, who lost the sight of the very journalism he created. While Hunter would constantly describe the truth more blatantly than anyone would have ever wanted, this movie is very sugar coated.
On a lighter note, It is a wonderful tribute to Hunter and his work.
