Well made doc and a must for Thompson fans.Gibney utilises a wealth of footage of the man himself,all fascinating, and there are one or two interesting,unknown facts to be unearthed.However,overall, there is little here that is revelatory.
A shame as Gibney proved with the exceptional "Taxi to the Drak Side" that he is a research documentarian of the highest order.Still, this is merely an entertaining insight to a fascinating man, who wrote at least two of the greatest pieces of American Journalism of his time.
