Very well made piece on HST's turbulent, exciting and creative life. A rather straight focus from rise to fall to cult following eternity... extremely biographical and insightful.
I would definitely will watch it again and maybe even more times, I really did like it, but having Johnny Depp just blew it for me... although he can be considered the bait in the hook for those who have no idea who Thompson was and is for his follower, henceforth, Depp is the bait that will lure you to the context of HST's magnificent career... Depp will only be digested and turned into feces, in this documentary of course.
It seems to end in a very campy manner and still is indulging HST's ego even beyond the grave... but oh, well, HE WAS THE MAN!
