Review of Gone with the Wind (1939) by Sam A — 27 Aug 2013
The scale of the production was obviously incredible but where the film suffered was that it was just really long. I understand that the film is supposed to be a epic but there is only so much depression one can watch and almost 4 hours of it is not easy.
Having said this simply for the scale of the film, it was an experience that I would recommend purely for the effect this film had on cinema and how highly regarded it is today.
