Review of Gone with the Wind (1939) by Sam D — 27 Dec 2013
Gone With the Wind is one of the most iconic films in Hollywood for a reason, getting past its exhausting length thanks to brilliant performances from the vivacious Vivien Leigh and the suave Clark Gable (as well as a plethora of fine supporting players), creating perhaps the most famous couple of all time.
Its Technicolor brilliance is a wonder to behold, as well as the seemingly timeless story. When it's not bogged down in its own formidable length and glory, Gone With the Wind soars.
