I know this is not considered one of Michael Powell's best films but I for one absolutely adore it. Yes, Jennifer Jones' accent may seem a little far-fetched but this just adds to the film's charm.
This is the perfect rainy afternoon film - passionate, beautiful and spirited : just like the protagonist.
