A gripping, genius masterpiece from David Fincher featuring a year-best performance from Rosamund Pike & biting social commentary. "Gone Girl" is my favorite film of 2014. It's so precise, perfectly edited and incredibly entertaining that it makes 140 minutes feel whiplash-inducing.
