Review of Gone Girl (2014) by Isadore H — 06 Sep 2017
David Fincher creates a winding film that satisfies even after the plot twist 3/4 into the film. Ben Affleck is equally as good, portraying a complicated man who made mistakes but is hard to accept them.
Rosamund Pike gives one of her most incredible performances, she is intimidating and calculating from her opening scene. This is also a gorgeous looking film, every shot is essentially perfect, and it compliments the incredible plot very well.
The ending is a thinker, one that will leave me in thought long after the credits fade.
