Review of Gone Girl (2014) by Cole R — 24 Jun 2015
I don't usually leave reviews for movies that I don't like but this one is another breed. First, off, I hate that it tries to be so many genres without doing any of them the right way. From comedy to horror to suspense to intense sex, this movie wants to be something special but is not at all.
Second, the rich bachelor and the young student stereotypes are so worn out that their characters presence is completely unnecessary. Third, and most importantly, the movie let's the audience cheer for Ben Affleck, but has no real ending or resolution.
The only good part is Tyler Perry's boss lawyer character. Definetely skip and keep your 2 and a half hours if you haven't watched all ready.
